72. Notes of a combatant

Many memoirs and recollections have been written about the Russian-Ukrainian war. Among this literature — the literature of fact, the literature of direct testimony, direct speech — there are books that, when reading them, you forget that they were written not by a professional author, but by a real soldier. This book deserves your attention without any comments about the fact that its author is not a real writer. Comrade Slovian wrote, in my opinion, an honest, frank (in places — quite harsh) book, and did it interestingly and talentedly. This is a cinematic vision of events that the author evaluates from the inside, the prose is dynamic, simple in presentation, with accurate descriptions of the characters, their language, their characters. You immediately realize that you are reading the pages of a great chronicle, from which a new History is being created right before our eyes. In this case, it is written seriously and convincingly.
