The events of the famous novel "Apothecary" by the leading Ukrainian writer Yuriy Vynnychuk take place in 1646-1648, first in the Republic of Venice and then in Lviv. The historical background is skilfully used for an exciting game of real-false, where historical characters coexist with fictional ones, and their complex relationships are formed into love triangles.
