"Arsene Lupin vs. Herlock Holmes" (1908) is a story of two episodes describing the confrontation between the "gentleman robber" Arsene Lupin and the great detective Herlock Holmes (the first letters are not mixed up!). These two extraordinary individuals clashed in the first book of the series about the adventures of Arsene Lupin. Of course, Holmes did not forgive his opponent for defeat. Therefore, at the first request of the famous French to help them in their search for the robber and swindler Lupin, he and his assistant Wilson swim across the English Channel. The British give themselves a maximum of ten days to investigate the case. In contrast, Lupin has a different view of it and from the very first steps makes it clear who is the boss in the house. Will the most famous private detective cope with such a tough nut to crack?
