Master of the detective-adventure genre, Maurice Leblanc (1864 – 1941), dreamed of being a writer since childhood, but first he had to work at a textile equipment factory, then study law, engage in journalism, and only later - enter the chosen literary circle.
Leblanc became famous after the publication of the story “The Arrest of Arsène Lupin”, written on behalf of a Parisian publisher. The prototype of the hero for the writer was the anarchist Marius Jacob (1879 – 1954), known from his adventures, an “noble robber”, who committed thefts only from “social parasites” - the clergy, judges, bankers and used very witty tricks.
Arsène Lupin is a noble, charming robber. Lupin brilliantly solves intricate crimes, skillfully steals jewels, fooling the police, and even competes with the famous spy from Baker Street.
In "813" we meet an unusual Lupin, dark, almost scary. Faced with the Machiavellian and invisible antagonist "L. M.", he will have to clear his name from vile accusations of crimes.
And to do this, find a pack of letters with explosive political content and decipher the meaning of the mysterious numbers "813", the solution of which can lead to dire consequences for all of Europe.
