Teenagers in a small town in Oklahoma are divided into two gangs: the socialites, that is, the children of the upper class, and the locksmiths, whose best prospects are to work in a factory. The former's favorite pastime is to beat the latter up especially brutally. Such as fourteen-year-old Ponyboy Curtis, his brothers and friends.
