balcony chic tells the story of illegally installed balconies, and also shows various options for their purpose in people's lives.

What was originally conceived as a recreational space for fresh air and sunbathing, and later turned into a multifunctional space for survival, we showed in the first edition.

Now, in conditions of full-scale invasion, shelling and power outages, balconies remain a not very safe but useful necessity for many Ukrainians. People are once again rethinking their balcony spaces, installing, for example, solar panels for backup power or Starlink for a stable Internet connection.

The updated edition contains photos from the first edition and is supplemented with examples of balcony destruction due to shelling in Kyiv.
