Sofi Oksanen (born in 1977) is a well-known Finnish writer and playwright, a feminist. Her debut novel "Stalin's Cows" was published in 2003. The author became world famous after the publication of the novel "Cleansing" (2008). Then there were "Where the pigeons have gone" (2012), "Norma" (2015). The writer has been awarded many literary prizes, including the "small Nobel Prize" - the Swedish Academy's Literary Prize (2013), her novels have been translated into 50 languages and have been adapted into a screenplay.
