Librarian Marta Storm finds it easier to communicate with books than with people. She meticulously writes down tips on how to help others in her notebook, but she still remains inconspicuous. Everything changes when she finds a book of fairy tales on her doorstep with a dedication from Zelda's grandmother, the girl's best friend who mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Upon learning that Zelda may be alive, Marta decides to find out the truth. While uncovering her grandmother's past, she stumbles upon a family secret that turns her life upside down.
