Bosnian Dramas

The dramas of the famous Croatian writer Slobodan Schneider "Skin of the Snake", "Ines & Denise", "Jerusalem-99" are united by the theme of war, which acquires a universal sound in these works. For his heroines, the war does not end with the last shot, but continues with a wound in the heart. For his heroes, the war never ends, because they live in Bosnia, which for the author is not only a country, but also a metaphor. To tell about the eternal tragedy of man, Slobodan Schneider turns to holy books and folklore sources, cultural explorations and documentary evidence, melting them into a highly emotional artistic text. In his stories, the primordial, archetypal intertwines with the recognizably modern, and the "yesterday" and "tomorrow" of humanity are reflected in the present. The works of the Croatian playwright are successfully staged in theaters in Europe and the world.
