Pure Art

A large catalog of the exhibition "Pure Art", which took place at the Mystetsky Arsenal from April 13 to May 9, 2017.

The catalog, like the exhibition, aims to explore the work of Ukrainian naive artists as fully as possible, as well as to problematize the relationship between "folk" and "professional" in art. The publication includes works by Maria Prymachenko, Heorhiy Malyavina, Hanna Gotvianska, Yakov Yushchenko, Oleksandra Shabatura, Dmytro Perepelitsa, Polina Rayko, Panas Yarmolenko, Hryhoriy Ksionz, Nikifor Drovniak, Hanna Sobachko-Shostak and many others. As well as works by avant-garde and contemporary artists who form a dialogue with naivety - Vadym Meller, Borys Kosarev, Yevhen Leshchenko, Oleksandr Roitburd, Vladyslav Krasnoshchok, Viktor and Serhiy Kochetov, etc.
