What does the will hide, which she rewrites every day and blackmails her relatives with it? What awaits Ms. Adela on the streets of her native Zagreb, hit by an earthquake? Nada Gasich tells about all this and other tragicomic vicissitudes of an elderly woman from Zagreb in her new novel "The Nine Lives of Mrs. Adela". The author skillfully combines fairy tales, grotesque, spy realism, comedy, and fantasy, writing surprisingly realistic dialogues that clearly outline the characters and their dramas.
