Michael Cunningham's famous novel "Home at the Edge of the World" is the story of the lives of friends whose destinies intertwine and diverge over three decades, exposing the living nerve of an entire generation - unrestrained, sincere and eager for all the joys of life.

After graduating from college, Bobby moves to New York to live with Jonathan's childhood friend and his roommate Claire, a popular lover of sex, drugs and other dangerous nightlife entertainment. Bobby and Claire fall in love, ruining all of Jonathan's plans. And when Claire becomes pregnant, the trio finally decide to create their own special family, where all three will participate in raising the child, and move to the edge of the world - to a small farmhouse near Woodstock, a place full of secrets and miracles.
