The book “Doblo and Zlo” contains two very different stories, but each is written with humor, irony, and frankness.
“Ghosts of My School” are school stories about the steps on the path to adulthood, first loves and dramas, small childhood joys, and friendships that seemed to last a lifetime. Here, childhood is simple and real, it appears exactly as it was in a small town in the 1990s. The second story — “Planet of the Heifers” — has a somewhat different, already adult and sometimes provocative perspective: it is a look at the female experience, relationships with men, and physicality. Here, the search for oneself in a world where everything is possible resonates with loneliness and challenge at the same time.
This book is about growing up and self-affirmation, about memory without filters, and about the ghosts of the past that often stay with us for a long time.
