Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) lived a life full of adventures and dramatic events. He fought, was wounded, spent 5 years in captivity, sat in prison after being unjustly convicted. He wrote plays, stories and novellas, and gained fame with the novel "The Wise Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Manche", which in 2002 was recognized by the Nobel Institute as the best literary work in the history of mankind.
All attempts to bring Don Quixote to his senses and force him to give up his chivalrous exploits proved fruitless. He goes on a journey again and on the way he meets a duke and a duke who have already heard about the Knight of the Sad Image and his squire. The Duke invites Don Quixote and Sancho to his castle, where the heroes have many adventures: Don Quixote "frees" the bearded duenha, and Sancho Panza is appointed governor of the island.
