Description

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) lived a life full of adventures and dramatic events. He fought, was wounded, spent 5 years in captivity, sat in prison after being unjustly convicted. He wrote plays, stories and novellas, and gained fame with the novel "The Wise Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Manche", which in 2002 was recognized by the Nobel Institute as the best literary work in the history of mankind.

A poor village hidalgo, Alonso Quijano, having read novels about noble knights, travels with the faithful Sancho Panza. From now on he is Don Quixote of La Mancha, Knight of the Sad Image. He imagines a cowherd from a neighboring village as the beautiful lady Dulcinea Toboska, for whom he is ready to perform feats. Don Quixote considers the inn a feudal castle, the barber's copper a golden helmet. But all his heroic deeds end with a difficult and at the same time funny story...
