“Dear...us” is a collection of stories about women whose lives took a new turn after the start of a full-scale war. The book contains ten stories, their heroines are of different ages, professions, and experiences. These are voices that sound from different parts of the country and the world, but converge in one thing — the search for strength, meaning, and light in the midst of darkness.
These texts are about deep inner transformation, about fatigue and determination, about the invisible work of the heart that continues even when it seems that all is lost. This is a look at women’s experience during wartime — a complex, ambiguous one, but this experience is now being experienced by Ukrainian women both in Ukraine and abroad. What unites these stories is the road as a symbol of movement, transition, and knowledge — and the love that holds on, even when everything else is faltering.
