Nesta seeks oblivion at the bottom of the bottle and in promiscuous relationships with men, trying to drown out her grief, loneliness and the horrors she has experienced. The girl pushes away her loved ones and constantly breaks down on them. Even Elaine is no longer so affectionate towards her sister. One day, Fayre can’t stand it and gives Nesta an ultimatum: she goes to live in the House of Winds to train with Cassian and work in the library, or she returns to the land of mortals. For the High Fae that the girl has become, this is the worst place to be. Therefore, although with anger and resentment, Nesta still agrees to the first option. The powerful Illyrian warrior has to use all his skills and charm to find an approach to the girl and encourage her to change. However, the man is not able to overcome Nesta’s inner demons, only she can cope with them herself.
