I am Iryna Bobyk, volunteer, military, veteran.
These texts — both poetry and prose — were born because I simply do not know a more ecological way to experience my joys and sorrows. "D'voina" - because "to a warrior", "girl-warrior", because you are divided into a military and a civilian personality.
I invite you to live with me the sadness of the loss of loved ones, to rejoice in sincere love and true friends, to admire the bravery of defenders, to laugh with me at funny frontline stories (yes, military people laugh a lot - because otherwise they cannot survive). I write about myself and about people dear to me. I want to give an incredibly tight hug to everyone who is with me on my way. However, many hugs will remain empty - and I want to pay tribute to those who died with this book as well.
Subtly, discreetly, patiently, sparing words between inhalation and exhalation. In between work, with a sense of duty well done. With the thought that behind you are whole generations of those who failed to avenge themselves, and as if saying: nothing, girls, be patient
