The book of the calligrapher and connoisseur of Ukrainian cursive Vitaly Stepanovych Mitchenko is an attempt to see in historical handwriting works of graphics that can be adapted to modern aesthetics.
This edition summarizes the experience of fifteen years of teaching the font training course at the department of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. The author offers to dive into the course of studying the history and theory of the Ukrainian handwritten script, which has been developed over many years. A significant contribution to the preparation of materials was also made by students, whose best works are presented in this publication.
