"The Web" (1984) is the first novel in a trilogy about the Catalan town of Feixes, set at the beginning of the 20th century. All three novels of "The Book of Feixes" are united by the figure of Adele Rigau, first a girl, then a nun, and later a young woman. The plot of "The Web" centers on a family drama and the struggle for control over the textile factory and the family business of the Rigau family. On the outside, Feixes lives a normal life, but behind the scenes, a web of intrigue, blackmail, conspiracies, and betrayals is spinning.
