“Franny and Zooey” is a kind of “amateur film in prose,” as Salinger notes, or rather, one of his alter egos. The two stories, united under one cover, constitute one of the lines of the Glass family saga, artistic parents of half-Irish, half-Jewish origin who migrated to the United States and had seven children. The eldest of them, Buddy and Seymour, are vigilant in raising the younger ones, enlightening and enlightening their young, untouched minds. Over the years, Franny and Zooey begin to tread the path of acting, but they become disillusioned by the spotlight and the million-dollar Hollywood glamour, as they realize that they are selling their souls for some 50 cents. The heroes of this film are looking for beacons on paper that will guide them through life, because for them what matters is not fame and luxury, but the truth, whatever it may be.
