Gimme Shelter is an urban novel about a woman coming of age against the backdrop of the country's emergence. About love and self-discovery to the music of Bowie at the turning point of history - on the eve of 2014.
It is about love, sex, class, moral guidelines, the difficult choices of a Ukrainian woman in a postcolonial society, Kyiv in the 2010s, and even a little bit of Berlin.
The book touches on topics such as domestic violence, social inequality, bodily freedom, and psychological survival. However, at its heart is not trauma, but a movement towards inner clarity.
