Famine

A poor young writer from Christiania tries to earn a living by writing articles for the local newspaper. And although the topics he chooses are not entirely successful, but are designed for sophisticated connoisseurs, he is still sometimes lucky enough to earn a little money for a few days of food. However, his odious character and constant hunger push the writer to senseless deeds and mischief. Erotic fantasies arise in the mind of the half-starved loner, and in each one he meets, he sees the ideal of a dream beauty who supposedly lives in the castle of Ilaya. Will this fantasy come true? Will the artist write an incomparable literary masterpiece? Will he earn a penny for food and cope with his irresistible and insatiable hunger?
