Father Adam Shustak is a well-known Polish Roman Catholic Dominican priest, itinerant preacher, video blogger and author of many books.
In the text "Mountain of Promises" he gives those who want to grow spiritually a deeper look at God's ten commandments (or the Decalogue). The Decalogue is the foundation of Christianity laid by Moses on Mount Sinai. Father Adam presents it not as a list of prohibitions, but as Parental advice, the observance of which will give us a better life (and not only in the spiritual aspect).
In everyday life, we often find ways to bypass His commandments, and we often seek to agree with God on the conditions of their observance. This is exactly what happens if you perceive the Decalogue as a list of inconvenient instructions that require effort and sacrifice, rather than as a guide to a more valuable life. In addition to the literal meaning of God's commandments, Adam Shustak encourages us to look at them more carefully and in this way to trust God, who always wants the best for his children.
