A brilliant novel, seasoned with excellent British humor, beautifully conveyed by Olena Lisevich. This story will give you a lot of laughter, will cause touching tears, and after reading the book you will definitely want to relive this story again!
Who: Luke O'Donnell is known for… having no other choice: the son of a rock star and a popular singer, who is forced to live under the spotlight of fame, although he would prefer to remain in the shadows.
What: Luke's life is a complete mess, constantly covered in columns about social life. When Luke, in the guise of a rabbit, stumbles and falls on the sidewalk during a party, the tabloids immediately use this to destroy his image. The charitable foundation where the guy works is threatened with the loss of sponsors.
How: To save his damaged reputation, Luke decides to associate himself with a proper, stable partner.
Need: A fake boyfriend.
The ideal guy: Oliver Blackwood is a vegetarian, a successful lawyer with a clean-shaven reputation.
The challenge: Luke and Oliver are single gay men, and both need a fake partner, but the guys are as different as fire and water. So until everyone gets their act together, they have to pretend to be a couple in love.
The result: Sometimes fake dates turn into real ones, and fake love can turn into deep feelings.
The ideal guy is a hilarious British queer rom-com that I didn’t even know I needed. The book is absurdly funny and romantic to the point of madness, with biting humor, witty observations, and a tense plot. It’s an unbridled pleasure that won’t let you put it down until three in the morning. — C. J. Charles
