Far from traditional romantic trends, the novel "Infection" still produces a clear confrontation between love and hatred, loyalty and betrayal, redemption and ignorance, which are the characters of the work - Sava, Ostap, Ivanka, Mykola Lobyuk, Kyril, Nazar. Each of them finds their own personal way to cure themselves of the infection - the bacillus of decay, demoralization, degeneration, shrinking. Everyone has their own tragedy of the soul and body, which, in the end, clearly resonates with the tragedy of Ukraine as an invisible symbol of national suffering.
