March 1945. Mellern concentration camp is considered very humane: there are no gas chambers. But every day, death from hunger, abuse, and disease takes away hundreds of those who have only a number instead of a name. The desperate foreboding of imminent liberation unites the tortured residents of the Small Camp. At least someone has to survive. Not to forget. To tell the truth.
