The rich Mr. Shaitana has a strange hobby: he collects… murderers. Horrible crimes, the killer’s tactics, the logic of the crime are his secret passion. And also – risk. One day Shaitana invites eight guests to his place for dinner: four detectives, among whom is the famous Hercule Poirot, and four supposed murderers. The conversation about unsolved murders smoothly turns into a game of bridge. The host leaves the players, and he himself settles in an armchair by the fireplace. But when the game ends, the guests find the man dead. Someone has stuck a stiletto right into Mr. Shaitana’s heart. And this someone is a skilled player who has been bluffing brilliantly all this time…
