KAZIMIR MALEVICH. Kyiv Period 1928-1930

English edition of the book "Kazimir Malevich. Kyiv Period 1928-1930", editor and author of the introductory article Tetyana Filevska (Kyiv), editor Wendy Salmond (USA), translator into English Marta Skorypsky (USA).

The book was published in Rodovodi in February 2017 with the support of [kmbs] and the Zahorii Family Foundation.

To the history of the publication. At the end of 2015, new texts by Kazimir Malevich and documents related to his teaching at the Kyiv Art Institute in 1929-1930 were found in Kyiv. And even evidence of the creation of the Research Cabinet, a kind of scientific institute of Malevich. For almost 90 years, about 70 pages of the typescript were kept in the archive of the artist Maryan Kropyvnytskyi, a teacher and assistant of the Research Cabinet.

The English edition of the book is hardcover, 304 pages, more than a hundred illustrations - both of Malevich's works from the Kyiv exhibition of 1930 (Malevych's last personal exhibition), as well as the works of his colleagues, and archival photos of teachers, students of KHI, Malevich's friends and family.
