Their meeting is accidental. Kanre is a servant without extraordinary skills, and Jarrak is the heir of one of the most powerful families of magic makers. A deadly disease is spreading across the country, war is threatening from the southern border, and conspiracies are brewing in the north - and it is against this background that their destinies will become intertwined.
This novel is a magical story set against the backdrop of the early modern era. But the first place here is humanity, given to the heroes at a heavy price. Will they rise against the cruel social inequality because, in Fran, everyone who does not possess magic is oppressed? Will they risk entering a battle with time, or will they be forced to submit to it?

The author promises that this book will be somewhat different from the rest of her works, and the world described in it is sometimes uncomfortable and unusual but no less fascinating.
