Giovanni’s Room

What makes a man a man? What criteria of masculinity does society define and is it possible to follow them all? What to do when you differ from this standard? A young American, David, comes to France during a break in his relationship with a girl. In Paris, he meets the bartender Giovanni, and romantic feelings arise between the men. David moves to live in Giovanni's tiny room, where he has to face a crisis of his own identity, the consequences of which significantly affect not only the man's life, but also the fate of the people around him.
