Ukraine, like most other countries, has been and is going through a period of change, and it is doing so quite intensively. These rapid changes are reflected in the author's notes. In them, the political and business level of life intersects with the human dimension, and emotions and dreams with the daily course of affairs.
This book is about "understanding." We all try to understand some problems around us, some events, and the author's task was to understand his country. The war turned out to be that existential dimension that showed Ukraine as we had not seen it before. It set the tone for changes that finalizes all the previous years of attempts to change something. Understanding this dimension is also important - and therefore, thoughts about today's Ukraine, Ukraine at war, are superimposed on the flow of reflections about Ukraine in the late 2010s. Now is the time for all of us to understand the country in which we live.
