The collection includes two famous stories by the classic of Ukrainian literature, the father of new Ukrainian prose, Hryhorii Kvitka-Osnovianenko (1778–1843) – “The Konotop Witch” and “Marusia”.
The proposed stories differ in mood and artistic sound. The first, full of sparkling humor and funny situations, will amuse and cheer up the reader, and the second – lyrical and touching – will tell about the sincere love and devotion of the heroes, their experiences and will touch you to the depths of your soul. Both stories fascinate with their folk flavor and vivid images.
