Library of "Historical Truth"

About the book:

Prominent Ukrainian women of the 20th century often remain unnoticed. Someone may be hearing about the fate of some of the heroines of this book for the first time, but their role in Ukrainian history should not be underestimated. These are doctors, teachers, participants of the national liberation movement, political prisoners, journalists, soldiers, and cultural figures... Without them - strong, active, devoted - the pages of our family would be completely different.

This book contains interviews, testimonies, archival documents, and references about notable women of Ukraine - materials from the "Historical Truth" resource. Among them are a unique interview with Kvitka Cisyk, a conversation with the researcher of the women's movement Martha Bohachevsky-Chomiak, and articles about the doctor of medicine Rozalia Lifshyts-Vynnychenko, the prisoner Iryna "Khrystia" Tymochko, the writer Olena Teliha, as well as about Lesya Ukrainka, and mother of Georgiy Gongadze.

About the author:

The collection compiler is Vakhtang Kipiani, a Ukrainian journalist, historian, and editor-in-chief of the online media "Historical Truth", compiler of the book "The Case of Vasyl Stus".
