Liz Buxbaum has always known that Wes Bennett is a terrible neighbor. He has been in the same place since childhood: sometimes he will put a frog in her Barbie Dreamhouse, sometimes he will cut off the head of a garden gnome and leave it in a makeshift girl's library. Ten years have passed since the gnome's beheading, and it would seem that everything should have changed... But now the neighbors have a new cruel war: for a parking space on their street.
This is Liz's last year of school - a time full of important events worthy of the big screen. After all, the girl is simply absorbed in fantasies about how her life will turn out like in romantic films. Suddenly it turns out that she needs Wes's help. The thing is that Liz has been in love with Michael - the boy of her dreams for a very long time, who has just returned to town and, as unfortunate as it is, has become friends with Wes. If Liz wants Michael to finally pay attention to her, then her insufferable neighbor Wes is her chance.
But it will take a miracle for the girl to convince Wes to make a bizarre deal, the purpose of which will be to arrange for Liz a magical, almost cinematic romantic moment, in which she will be with Michael at their graduation... Or maybe Wes is not the disgusting bastard that he is anymore, but a mature and reliable guy who can be dealt with?
