The book of selected poems by Jalal al-Din Rumi (1207–1273), one of the most prominent representatives of Persian-Tajik literature, includes his lyrical works, parables, ghazals, and rubaiyats, which influenced the development of medieval literature. The main place in the proposed publication is occupied by parables from the poem “Masnavi-ye Manavi,” which reflect the personal life experience of the poet and philosopher and the depth of folk wisdom. Rumi’s works are widely popular and have been translated into many languages of the world.
