Living the War is a magazine dedicated to documenting life during the Russia–Ukraine war. The first volume explores it through the experience of Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, and Russiaʼs attempt to capture it.

With chronology reconstruction, eyewitness accounts, and photo evidence, the volume provides a big picture of Kyiv during Russia’s war against Ukraine. How did the largest war since WWII start? How are people living through it? Why were so many experts wrong? With this volume, you will be able to find the answers, and create your own understanding of historical events that took place after February 24th.
