“Lviv: The End of Illusions” is a highly professional historical non-fiction, the first and unique in terms of reliability and scope of the material covered, study of the pogrom of the Jewish population of Lviv, which was carried out by Polish soldiers in November 1918.
For a century, Polish historiography – partly for political reasons – described this tragic event as a series of ordinary criminal crimes committed in the chaos of war by Ukrainian and even Jewish bandits and deserters from the Austrian army.
