1933 year. Eighteen-year-old Molly Ryan dreams of becoming a journalist, but instead accepts any job to help her family survive the Great Depression. The only joy in her life is watching baseball with her best friend, Hannah, and having a secret crush on Hannah's older brother, Max, which later turns into a mutual crush. Molly and Max find themselves at the center of events. Six years later, the Great Depression has subsided, but a new war is on the horizon...
