Description

Fifteen-year-old Diana leaves Irpen with her two-month-old sister from another father, Ivanka, in her arms. Diana's stepfather is in the Armed Forces, Diana's mother disappeared in Irpen under unknown circumstances. Diana's father, who has lived in Vienna for many years, takes her and her sister to his place. A new phase of life begins for all three. Diana's psychotherapist advises her to write letters to her mother, telling her about her escape.
It may seem that this is a book about loss, after which it is impossible to recover, about destroyed lives, about pain, helplessness and doom to the mutilated fate of all those who were touched by the criminal war and the ugly aggression of Russia against Ukraine, but in fact it is not.
In fact, this is a book about how endlessly, with all possible and impossible forces, people protect each other and take care of each other, giving all the love that they didn't even know they could give so much.
