The Manticore

"Manticore" is the second book in Robertson Davis's famous "Deptford Trilogy."
David Staunton is a lawyer. He is accompanied by incredible professional success, but he is also haunted by his relationship with his father, a figure greater than any victories and life itself. To unravel the complex tangle of fears, addictions and insecurities, David turns to therapy: he puts his busy days on hold and goes to Zurich.
There, under the piercing gaze of Dr. Johanna von Haller, he must tell more sincerely than ever about his own path, marked by trauma and rejection, look into the most remote corners of his consciousness, meet the menacing Shadow, find his Anima, and once again experience the most painful thing - in order to heal.
