Metaphysical requiem

"Metaphysical Requiem" is a poem written by Volodymyr Hariaiv (1914–1997), the last Ukrainian futurist, a student of Mykhailo Semenko, a member of the legendary futurist band "New Generation", a witness of the Ukrainian literary revival of the 1920s–1930s. Volodymyr Hariaiv began writing his work in the 30s, returning to it from time to time throughout his life and finishing it only in the 90s. Unfortunately, the author never saw the book during his lifetime.

Today, Meridian Czernowitz and the Kharkiv Literary Museum have prepared this unique text for printing - a testimony to the bloody era and a dedication to friends who have left. A text that exposes the time and justifies contemporaries. A text is written with great love and bitterness.
