My Boss is an Idiot. Thomas Erickson

Thomas Erikson is a Swedish journalist and writer, social communication psychologist, behaviorist, and personal trainer. He debuted as a writer in 2011 with a crime series about behaviorist Alex King. He has written two popular science books about communication and human behavior — “Surrounded by Idiots” and “Surrounded by Psychopaths.”

In the book “My Boss is an Idiot,” Erikson divides bosses into four color types based on their management, communication, and behavior — red, yellow, green, and blue. He describes theories and methods that people use to build functional dialogic communication in their workplaces.

It also discusses how difficult it is to do your job when the boss is an idiot. The examples examine poor management in detail, but also draw attention to what a subordinate can do about it.
