One seemingly ordinary day, you wake up, drink coffee, and go about your business. But on your doorstep, you find a strange wooden box. It holds your destiny: the answer to the question of how much time you have left to live. From posh suburban homes to tents in the desert, every person on every continent receives the same box. In an instant, the world is gripped by collective panic. Where do they come from? What do they mean? Is there truth to what they promise? As society divides and unites, filled with prejudice and searching for a way out, each person is faced with a daunting choice: does he want to know how much time he has? And what will he do with that knowledge?
The Measure describes the dawn of a new world through a group of eight characters whose decisions and destinies are intertwined: best friends united by shared dreams; pen pals who find support in each other; a couple who thinks they have nowhere to go; a doctor who can't save himself, and a politician whose box becomes a "powder keg" and changes everything.
