Moon Witch, Spider King. Marlon James

In the continuation of the Dark Star trilogy, Marlon James uses a brilliant technique - retelling the story of the novel Black Leopard, Red Wolf from the perspective of the antagonist heroine, blurring the lines between truth, fiction and interpretation. The Moon Witch proved to be a worthy opponent for the Pathfinder when they both tried to find a missing boy. But will anyone tell the truth about it except herself? The story of Sogolon is not only her story about the search for a mysterious child against a bizarre backdrop woven from African folklore, mythology and beliefs. It is a chronicle of the life of a 177-year-old woman who went from a nameless girl from a dirty termite mound to a powerful witch - a woman who risked everything to have power and not bow to any man. Even to those who are in power in this empire and believe that they have the right to decide the fate of others.
