When fifteen-year-old Clary Frey decided to go to the New York nightclub Pandemonium, she hardly expected to witness a murder - or rather, a murder committed by three teenagers. Covered in strange tattoos, they brandished bizarre weapons. And the corpse simply dissolved into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the killers are invisible to everyone except Clary, and there is nothing, not even a drop of blood, to prove that a person was killed. And was the deceased a human?
