My Darling Dreadful Thing

Roose Beckman has a spirit companion that no one but her can see. This strange dead creature is the only ray of light in Roose's life.
At least, that was until a wealthy young widow, Agnes Knoop, visited one of Roose's seances, and the two women developed a crush on each other.
Roose decides to move in with Agnes, and so she finds herself in a run-down estate where a sick woman wanders the rooms, strange smells waft through the air at night, and creepy stone statues stand in the family chapel.
And then a murder occurs. Poor, lonely, and showing signs of "mental illness," Roose is the obvious suspect. Her sanity is in question, and the girl will have to prove who—or what—is responsible for the crime, or she will lose everything she holds dear.
