Description

He was gentle, sensitive, and timid, but completely merciless in his texts. He always chose correspondence over personal meetings. Didn't eat meat and knew all the vegetarian restaurants in Prague. He went to a sanatorium for nudists, but he never undressed there. He dreamed of his own family but broke off each of his engagements. He could not tolerate pomposity and imperial style in furniture and literature. He believed that you hadn't been to the country until you'd taken a dip in the local river or lake. He was probably the most powerful writer of his era and a man you are very likely to love.
