Roman Lazurko was one of the thousands of Ukrainian volunteers who joined the ranks of the Halychyna division. Training in elite German units, hellish battles with the Bolsheviks, cooperation with the UPA, a front-line odyssey from Poland to Yugoslavia, the horrors of captivity and imprisonment - Lazurko describes all of this fascinatingly and with unmistakable black humor.
