Valerian Pidmohylnyi depicts the small world of a person who is desperately searching for the value of his feelings in the times of rationality, the triumph of science, and social change; with characteristic skill and psychologism, the author leads readers through a story played out in the Kyiv apartments of the 1920s, so that we too can be imbued with this “little drama.”
